Everyone is all excited about today being the International Day of Happiness. When I woke up this morning I’d already been bombarded by posts on every social media platform about being happy. Don’t get me wrong. I’m all for happiness. Happiness is a good thing and we should all strive to make others happy and be happy ourselves. But aren’t we forgetting something? Today is also (and more importantly) World Frog Day!
Frogs just don’t get the love they deserve.
Except for people who run around telling everyone else how much they love frog legs!
That’s just wrong people! Eating the legs off frogs leaves them unable to do what frogs do and leap. Where would Calaveras County be if everyone started pulling the legs off frogs and chowing down? The whole thing would turn into a frog wheelchair race.
World Frog Day celebrates the diversity in the frog world.
And there’s a lot of diversity there, folks! There are frogs in every color of the rainbow.
There are tiny frogs
And big frogs
Another frog lets you see into his soul. Or at least view his internal organs.
Kermit the Frog is perhaps the most famous of all the frogs.
Kermit with makeup and without.
When frogs have brothers they act just like your kids!
And don’t forget these important dates:
World Turtle Day May 23rd
World Talk Like a Pirate Day September 19th
World Television Day November 21st
Because we just don’t spend enough time watching T.V.
So take the time on World Frog Day to go out and kiss a frog. He may really be a prince!
