I’m going to take the week off because I’m getting ready for the wedding! Pete & Andi will be tying the knot in a matter of days and I’ve got so much to do! But before I go I want to tell you all about how things have gone since the kids first announced they were getting married.
Andi and I have always gotten along extremely well. Sometimes I think Pete thinks we get along too well! But, even though I love that girl to pieces I was a little taken aback when they announced they were getting married. Pete and I have always been very close. Yet I took the news really well!.
Once I’d gotten used to the idea it was time to start thinking about the wedding dress. This is one of the most important things when you’re a girl getting ready for the wedding! Andi has a puckish side so I was a little concerned she might go with something “playful”.
She has a great figure but I knew she wouldn’t want to show if off too much.
I thought something truly modest would be perfect!
Since we’re all country folk the possibility she might want to make that a theme crossed my mind.
While I thought reminding the kids I want another grandchild (or two) could be conveyed by the right dress.
Yes. Those are diapers. It’s a dress made of diapers.
They’re having a wedding that suits them perfectly. It’s casual and suits our country lifestyle and will be a lot of fun. But that made me wonder…
There’s casual and casual, right?
At least I didn’t have to worry that they might go with the wrong colors!
But no matter what they choose to wear I want to be there for Andi. It’s important that she knows I’m willing to settle any disagreement in the loving way two sweet Irish women always do.
Although I’m really busy getting ready for the wedding at least I know the reception will be fun because there are some great dancers in the family!
Of course there are always those who get flashy.
Some like to show off their booties
And some don’t really hit the floor but you know they’re into the music.
Of course there are always the people who get too into it!
To preserve the memories the kids have the most professional team of photographers around.
Years from now I’m sure they’ll enjoy looking back at their big day. And I’ll be glad we put so much into getting ready for the wedding!
