Katie from Katie’s Cottage Books nominated The Comfortable Coop for this award and I’m honored. I sometimes forget to finish the awards so I copied and pasted her award so it would sit there, haunting me, until I did it!
I know that for many bloggers passing 100 followers is something that came within days of starting their blogs. But for me it’s a big accomplishment. I want to thank each and every one of you who made the choice to follow The Comfortable Coop. I hope you find things that are useful, amusing, or thought-provoking here. And please feel free to make suggestions to help me make The Comfortable Coop more useful!
Thank you so much to Hannah Grace of Hannah Reads for this nomination. Versatility is something I strive for and this recognition from Hannah means a lot.
I realize a lot of bloggers think these kinds of nominations are frivolous but I appreciate the thought behind the nominations. These awards are a way to show our fellow bloggers that we do read their work. They show that we appreciate the time it takes to develop or adapt a recipe or the courage it takes to expose inner feelings. They show that we are interested in what they write. While not every post may touch every reader in the same way, these awards are just a way to say, “I notice your work and I care.”

I know I’m short of the 15 nominations but I think I smell smoke. Seriously.

Seven things about myself:
I would like to nominate the following blogs:
Eva and Bob from Health Mastery Movement for their efforts to help people become healthier through food and exercise.
Rhanda from Well Hello There for her youthful, insightful, and often funny view of the world.
Anonymously Autistic “Anna” from
Anonymously Autistic for her generosity in sharing her experience as someone with autism.
Melissa from Nourished Peach because I love her recipes and the way she writes.
If I have nominated you and you choose, for any reason, not to accept I understand.
I am honored to have been nominated for the Liebster Award by
a delightful blog with wonderful recipes!
I began this blog as a way to share what I’ve learned over decades of caring for my family and home. It was my hope that my experience could help other homemakers with creating a warm, inviting, comfortable “coop” for their broods. I write about all the things I do to make my home cozy and a lot of the things that just don’t go as planned.
Although I have not been blogging for very long my advice to my fellow bloggers is to simply enjoy writing your posts. If you’re having fun with your blog people will have fun along with you!
I am nominating the following blogs because I truly enjoy each of them. I only wish I could nominate all of the blogs I love reading!
Should my nominees wish to accept the nomination, here are the rules.
1. Write a post to show your award
2. Acknowledge the blogger who nominated you
3. Give a brief story of why you started blogging
4. Give advice to your fellow bloggers
5. Nominate a few bloggers for the award
6. Leave a comment to let the nominated bloggers know about the award.
If for some reason you do not want to accept the award, it’s completely your decision and I will respect that.
