Things have really moved along quickly on Ballymurrin lately. Mr. Comfortable has spent his days outside working hard to finish Ballymurrin Quacker Farmstead while the weather is still warm. The cabin is done. Now it’s time to finish the Ballymurrin Play Area!
Are you sitting down? This is really big news! At times I wondered if I’d end up with ducks in the tub for the rest of my life. My sister’s duck still winters in their tub and Humphrey is 10 years old! After months (and months, and months) of planning, construction, delays, and dreaming Ballymurrin is nearly complete!
We have two dogs; Remy, the dog who was supposed to be my new Service Dog (and that’s a story in itself) and Henry, our spare dog. If you have a dog or more than one you understand that dogs are not pets. Dogs are members of your family. They really do become our fur babies. And that’s how my husband, M, the dogs, and I came to attend a different kind of birthday party last weekend.
In previous posts I’ve written about the animals that live in or near our property. These critters, both large and small, are some of the most enjoyable aspects to our life. And each time I come across an animal I wasn’t expecting it renews my joy in our home. The creatures in my garden are a source of constant delight.
